Little Things

Today I got to glimpse at this book:

It is the coolest thing ever, and I want to read it. It's two stories set 50 years apart intertwined with each other. The boy's story is told in words, while the girl's story is told in pictures and both of them  wish their lives were different in some form. It looks fantastic. It comes out September 13th.

The other book that I've decided I REALLY WANT TO READ is this book:

It's about this woman who has amnesia and can't remember her past or make new memories. Every night her memory erases. She's trying to figure out who she is and how this happened to her, and one morning one of the notes is something along the lines of "Don't trust your husband." A bunch of my co-workers have read it and they've said that it has a really good twist at the end. It sounds so INTENSE.

Today has been exhausting for some reason, but super fantastic. I've been actively trying to reign myself in from stressing over life and the future, but I'm pretty sure at least one of my feet is still stepping in the peace zone.

Highlights:
-Lunch with Kathy at a small cafe. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the menu is good and well-priced. It was also good to finally hang out with her!
-Work was enjoyable, although at one point in the night all I wanted to do was take a nap in one of the comfy chairs (I didn't:P). Everyone was really nice today, and I was kept pretty busy. Also, I got there 45 minutes early and so I had a chance to just hang out with people and read.
-Iced Salted Carmel Mocha! It is so unbelievably good.
-I got The Applause of Heaven by Max Lucado for free as an e-book. I have yet to read a book by Max Lucado, so we'll see how it goes!
